Surmounting politics and pandemic:
Palestinian cultural heritage and Fair Trade

In the first episode of Meet Us on the Abraham Path Season Three, we are in Palestine with the mother-daughter team Suzan and Salam Sahori. Their passion is to strengthen the Palestinian crafts-making community using principles of Fair Trade. With Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans, the Sahori's and their team connect Palestinian craftspeople to the global market using sustainable and equitable trade practices like fair pay, good working conditions, and gender equity. In the face of hurdles including politics and the pandemic, the BFTA team works for the benefit of more than 1000 Palestinian artisans. As she recovers from cancer, Suzan has also found another important mission: to empower women of her community in full self-expression.
