Day 4 of the Zagros Mountain Trail Thru-Hike

Day 4 of the @zagros.mountaintrail thru-hike. Zoragvan to Shanidar Cave, about 19.5 km.

The path here took us up above the Great Zab River, and then into the mountains towards Shanidar Cave, where the remains of Neanderthals have been found. Our guide, Azad, who lives in the village at the end of the day, decided to walk to meet us at our starting point… and then come back with us on foot!
