Mosaic Stories aims to collect and protect intangible cultural heritage along the Abraham Path cultural route through research, storytelling, and education.
The Abraham Path as a cultural route encompasses roughly the area between Iraq and Egypt, spanning a landscape of vast human diversity. Christians, Muslims, Mandaeans, Yazidis, Jews, Samaritans, and many others live along the path. But as war and instability has caused many of these communities to flee, centuries old stories of communities living together are at risk of disappearing from the regional narrative forever.
In response the Mosaic Project aims to collect and share stories of diversity– perhaps the greatest, and most threatened intangible heritage of the region.
